—Sound healing—
WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?
Sound healing is a holistic practice that uses specific sound vibrations often played through instruments like music / frequencies, crystal sound bowls, tuning forks, gongs, rattles, rain sticks, voices / chanting / humming and others. Sound frequencies shift brainwaves from high-stress beta waves to relaxed alpha and theta waves. By utilizing sound and frequencies, this promotes a state of relaxation, stress reduction, and an overall feeling of well-being by creating a “sound bath” where the listener is immersed in therapeutic sounds. Sound baths aim to balance the body’s energy on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. This in turn can reduce depression, anxiety, addiction related issues, trauma triggers, mood instability & more.
SHCW may incorporate sound healing into individual counseling sessions or group healing sessions.
